yeah, REAL funny

I'm a little puzzled by the usual reaction to my fellow pugs and our prediliction to sleep apnea. Apparently, all you owners out there think it's pretty damn funny... it's like there's a whole YouTube channel on it or something! I mean, check out this poor S.O.B. gettin' punk'd:

Maybe turnabout's fair play... pugs of the world unite! Let's start recording our owners in embarassing situations and post THAT on YouTube. I ask you people... do you like apples? How do you like THEM apples!?!?

Heh.

zombie

mmmmm... tv. must... watch... tv.

I don't particularly care for much of the actual programming, mind you (although I think Project Runway's the bomb, yo)... I just like the funny moving pictures and the comforting high pitched hum that eminates from the strange black box.

Oh, and I like lying down. That's actually kinda the whole point. KnowwhatImean?

the view from down here

In today's installment of "the view from down here," I would like to go on the record about cats.

I don't like cats.

They're kinda weird... the stare at you all the time, and then sometimes they swat at ya. And the friggin hissing... I can definitely do without the friggin hissing.

Also, what's the deal with the litter box? It's all so regimented and stuff... freaks me out, yo.

Anyways, on balance I have to conclude that I don't like cats. And that's the view from down here...

me and uncle webster

A quick shout-out to my family... once again, this is my Uncle Webster. He and I share a common desire... to be fed. Constantly.

Not much travel for a while... now that temps are dropping, DC is a liveable place again. Bring on the 70s, yo!*

*For my Canadian and other international friends who have not joined the Farenheit bandwagon, I will translate from American:

"Bring on the low 20s yo!"

The Buffalo Donald Trump Toupees?

Um, ok. I know not everyone here is a hockey fan, but I think lack of taste is a universal topic.

WHAT... IS... THIS? The Sabres would have you believe this is a high-concept artisitic interpretation of a charging bison... with a nod to the organization's history by using the old blue and gold hues of the original gear.

I think this looks like Donald Trump's toupee. This is distrurbing. This is more distrurbing, however:

Hmm. I dunno though... If the fur ever starts to thin up top... this looks youthful and vibrant. Maybe this gear has secondary benefits after all!

the cha cha

Loved the weekend back in the land of my birth... I managed to score quite a bit of, shall we say, "discarded" party food. My digestive tract is just getting back in shape, but I can say this. What a way to go though!

This is me and my very first non-litter pal (and my kinda sorta "uncle") Webster. He and I will probably get to hang a bit in November if I go up. My social calendar's a bit up in the air, being like world famous and all (wassup Canada!?).

Do you hear what I hear?? Yep... the sound of frozen pucks on a fresh sheet of ice... training camps open next week, yo!

happy burfday

a very happy 158th burfday to tim... what's that? he's not that old? hmm. coulda fooled me.

syracuse sweater update... when the boys from the 'Cuse were keeping it close with Iowa, Tim remarked that if Syracuse somehow won, I would never be allowed to take off the sweater due to its miraculous magic powers. This put me in a bit of a quandry... I have to admit, I started to become an Iowa fan. Mercifully, Syracuse fell short of a win in double OT, and I'm now enjoying a reprieve from the orange sweater. Phew!

The corn roast rocked the house... due to the friendly offers of potato chips and other fine delicacies from heretofore unknown relatives, my digestive system's taking a beating... I won't paint a picture, but let's just say things don't smell so fresh around here, yo.

let's go orange

Check out my cool* new sweater! Seeing as I was born near the Cha Cha, and Tim gives me very little choice in the matter, I am a fan of the Syracuse Orange. Granted, the only difference between me and Orange QB Perry Patterson is that I would throw fewer interceptions. Nevertheless, I still find myself dreaming a little dream that the boys from the 'Cuse will win more than 1 game this year.

Of course, basketball season gives us Orange fans actual hope. And we all know that hockey training camps open soon, and we can finally ignore dumb baseball again. Combine all that with temps dropping below 90, and you've got fall... my favorite time of year.

Off to the Cha Cha for the big reunion... I'll be sporting this ridiculous orange sweater, so look for me. I'll be the uncomfortable black pug with the... well, ridiculous... orange... sweater.

*Does the phrase, "eye of the beholder" mean anything to you?

okie from muskogee

I'm an honorary okie, yo! Here's some of the pics (as promised) from my big Oklahoma trip. It was my first time and I learned a lot. First of all, flashy, stylish collars are not appreciated by the local wildlife... like I said in an earlier post, I took some heat from the armadillos for my white leather number with the crystal L-O-U-I-S on it. Who's this Liberace guy they kept comparing me to? He must be cool...

This is me in the dugout...

A rare pic of me and Tim... look at those guns! (I mean mine, of course)

Me and the fam... I have no idea what I was looking at. I think someone dropped a bowl of popcorn or something...

reunion

The theme of today's post is reunion. Last weekend, I hit Kimberly's family reunion in Oklahoma (pics coming soon... I PROMISE!) and this coming weekend, I hit Tim's family reunion in The Cha Cha*.

But there was one other, dare I say, far more exciting reunion during this stretch. A Tribe Called Quest is baaaaaaack... while you're waiting for the Oklahoma pics, check out how they took the stage at Seattle's Bumbershoot Festival for the first time as a group in, like, a zillion years.

*The Cha Cha is, of course, my term of endearment for Rochester, NY... the hometown of Foreigner ex-lead singer Lou Gramm, reigning best actor in the world Philip Seymour Hoffman, and the (nearby) place of birth of me... Louis the Pug.

homeward bound

Heading home from the mountains... I am officially tuckered out. I'm resting up on the way to the airport so I can properly sleep on the plane in my wee little bag. First stop Memphis, then I'll see ya in DC!

more please

I am officially reqesting more food. Despite being well fed here in the great Sooner state, I feel double breakfast is in order. Thanks for your support, yo.

greetings from ok!

Greetings from Oklahoma! I'm posting from Tim's phone out in the country... Here's me and g-ma. I keep hearing coyotes at night... something tells me those are canines I shouldn't say hello to... I also got a new sparkly collar. Oddly enough, the armadillos are not impressed...
